The Red Clay Survey: 2020 Exhibition of Contemporary Southern Art

Initiated in 1988, The Red Clay Survey is a recurring juried exhibition open to established and emerging artists in 12 Southern states. TheSurvey “takes the pulse” of current art through a selection of works determined through a stringent two-phase process. This year’s jurors are Peter J. Baldaia, Director of Curatorial Affairs, and David J. Reyes, Curator of Exhibitions and Collections of the Huntsville Museum of Art. The series intends to recognize and encourage excellence, and provide a permanent record of the development of regional art through the publication of a comprehensive exhibition catalogue, available for sale in the Museum Store and online.
